Welcome
Hi, I’m Laura
I help families reimagine what’s possible when they trade overconsumption and overwhelm for simplicity, freedom, and true connection.
A few years ago, my life looked a lot like the typical “American dream”: a beautiful custom home, rooms full of toys, and a calendar packed with activities. But under the surface, I felt exhausted and spread thin. I was working hard to “do it all” — packing lunches, shuttling kids to activities, managing a busy household, and striving for financial security.
Then everything changed.
After a flood forced us out of our home, we lived in a series of vacation rentals with just a few suitcases and our favorite toys. I was shocked by how light and free we all felt with less stuff. Suddenly, there was time for slow mornings, impromptu adventures, and deep play with my kids.
I started questioning everything:
- Why was I maintaining so much stuff I didn’t even like?
- What if I focused on creating a life that felt truly rich right now, instead of someday?
- How much money did we actually need to feel secure and free?
These questions led me to study financial independence (FIRE), values-based spending, and minimalist family living. I realized that freedom wasn’t just about having a certain number in the bank — it was about aligning my money and time with my deepest values.
Together with my husband and kids, we made bold decisions: we sold our dream home, radically simplified, and designed a life centered on freedom, travel, and connection. We moved abroad, living our vision of a “rich life” today, while our kids are still young enough to adventure alongside us.
My Mission
I believe you can build a life that feels spacious and joyful — not in 30 years, but now.
I write to empower other families to:
- Live intentionally and spend in alignment with what they value most.
- Let go of clutter (physical and mental) to create more space for connection and joy.
- Redefine wealth as time, freedom, and presence — not just dollars in the bank.
- Explore big, bold dreams without waiting for “someday.”
